You should backup your database on a regular basis. Doing so can allow you to restore data from the time of your last backup in the event of accidental damages or file corruption. As was explained in the System Overview section here, you have the ability to choose which database file you want the program to load. When you backup your database it creates a duplicate file under a different name. Therefore you may always reload previous databases or restore them by overwriting your current database's information from those files.
